Houston Texans J.J. Watt stats indicate that the 22 years-old has by far been the best player in the league this season.
The game between the Indianapolis Colts and Texans on Thursday added more luster to J.J Watt stats. Although his team lost the match 33-28, the defensive player showed why the Texans had the confidence to sign him for $100 million as he made an early fourth quarter touchdown against all odds.
According to J.J. Watt stats, that was his third touchdown in the 2014 season. The impressiveness of this record is brought to light when one considers the fact that Watt is a defensive player, who has scored two of his three TD's on defense. Also, no other player in the NFL has been able to make as many TD's as Watt this season.
Many commentators argue there hasn't been a more dominant player than him in the entire league this season. Despite the weakening of the Texans defensive line with the injury of Jadeveon Clowney, J.J. Watt stats shows that he has virtually single-handedly prevented his team from being walloped by their competitors. Some critics say without him, the team would be having a much more terrible season.
J.J. Watt has appeared in all six Texans games this season. The team has thus far drawn and lost an equal number of matches - three to be precise.
Commenting on the latest performance of his team, Watt has blamed the loss on their early loss of points. "You give a team a 24-point lead right out the gate, you're going to have a difficult time," he said.
The Texans do not have another game until about two weeks from now when they come up against Pittsburg Steelers.
While J.J. Watt stats is expected to keep on improving through the rest of the season, his individual efforts may be insufficient to salvage the Texans from more losses.
