"Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2: Half Shell" continues to be filmed, and updates about the movie and behind-the-scenes photos emerged online.
Here are some of those updates in case you missed them.
Just recently, an admirer of Stephen Amell, known for his character as Oliver Queen in the TV series "Arrow," uploaded some clips showing some fight scenes. International Business Times learned that the 1 minute 20 seconds uploaded clip showcased a scene where April O'Neil, played by Megan Fox, was being saved by Casey Jones, played by Amell from a Foot Clan member.
Another scene was from a footage, with a run time of 22 seconds, showing two faceless ninjas jumping from buildings toward the lanes.
Important characters such as Krang, Bebop and Rocksteady from the first film were missing, Movie Pilot pointed out. There are rumors that Krang will make an appearance — their Facebook page is teasing — in the new movie.
Krang's appearance in the "Half Shell" still remains a rumor, but the other two have been confirmed.
World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) champion Sheamus has been cast to play Rocksteady, a mutated rhinoceros, while Gary Anthony Williams will be playing Bebop, a mutated warthog, iDigital Times reported. Whether their characters are going to be mutated is yet to be discovered.
The other villains booked are Shredder played by Brian Tee, Seth Brundle rip-off Baxter Stockman played by Tyler Perry and Shredder's daughter, Karai, played by Brittany Ishibashi.
A photo suggesting that the plot of "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2" has something to do with time traveling was shared by Screenrant. The referred photo showed O'Neil sneaking into a facility, wearing an ID tag which stated the name Renet Tilley.
Time travel is being assumed to be a part of the plot because Renet is a time-traveling character who appeared in Mirage comic book series. Later on, she appeared in the "TMNT" animated show in 2003.
The turtles will be played by Noel Fisher as Michaelangelo, Alan Ritchson as Raphael, Jeremy Howard as Donatello and the voice of Johnny Knoxville as Leonardo.
"Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2," is directed by Dave Green and is set to be released on June 3, 2016, as per data on IMDb.
