Mary Katharine Ham Shares Poignant Tribute To Dead Husband Jake Brewer On Instagram; White House Staffer’s Death Prompts Outpouring Support Across Political Spectrum

Fox News contributor Mary Katharine Ham shared a poignant tribute to her dead husband Jake Brewer on Instagram Monday, Sept. 21. In her social media post, Ham announced the untimely death of her husband, who died at a charity bike ride event on Saturday. Due to the tragic demise of Brewer, who was a White House staffer, support across the political spectrum outpoured and even created a memorial education fund that will support his children.

Jake Brewer, Mary Katharine Ham's dead husband, died on Saturday, Sept. 19, during the "Ride to Conquer Cancer" event at the age of 34. According to The Daily Signal, Brewer died after losing control of his bike and being struck by a car during the two-day 150-mile event from Washington, D.C. to Mount Airy, Md. And back.

"We lost our Jake yesterday, and I lost part of my heart and the father of my sweet babies," Ham, who is currently pregnant with their second child, wrote on Instagram. "I don't have to tell most of you how wonderful he was. It was self-evident. His life was his testimony, and it was powerful and tender and fierce, with an ever-present twinkle in the eye. I will miss him forever, even more than I can know right now."

On Sunday, Conservative commentator Guy Benson created a GoFundMe page, which is a memorial education fund to help ensure Brewer's family have everything they need, including the education of their 2-year-old daughter Georgia and a soon-to-be-born baby, The Blaze reported.

Meanwhile, the tragic loss of Mary Katharine Ham's dead husband Jake Brewer, who was a senior policy adviser to Pres. Barack Obama through the office of the Chief Technology officer, has sent shockwaves into the technology and political realms. As per Inquisitr, the President himself expressed his condolences to the bereaved family as well as commended Brewer's work.

"I am heartbroken at the tragic loss of one of my advisors, Jake Brewer," Obama stated, as posted on the White House website. "Jake was one of the best. Armed with a brilliant mind, a big heart, and an insatiable desire to give back, Jake devoted his life to empowering people and making government work better for them."

"I've often said that today's younger generation is smarter, more determined, and more capable of making a difference than I was as a young man," the president continued. "Jake was proof of that. Michelle and I are praying for all of Jake's family and his many friends, most of all his wife, Mary Katharine Ham, their daughter, Georgia, and their growing family. They'll always have a family here at the White House."

In her interview with the Washington Post, Mary Katharine Ham said her dead husband Jake Brewer passed away with a secret. Ham revealed that he accidentally learned the sex of their unborn child during an ultrasound. However, she still does not know.

"There was a little miscommunication in the ultrasound room," Ham said. "The technician wrote it on the screen, not making sure he was looking away. And now I feel like there was a reason for it. He kind of met this baby in a way that I have not yet."

Mary Katharine Ham's dead husband, Jake Brewer, was a triathlete, photographer and co-founder of Define American. Katharine, on the other hand, is the editor-in-chief of the right-wing political blog Hot Air, a contributing editor to Town Hall Magazine and a frequent guest on Fox News programs, Daily Mail revealed.

We lost our Jake yesterday, and I lost part of my heart and the father of my sweet babies. I don't have to tell most of you how wonderful he was. It was self-evident. His life was his testimony, and it was powerful and tender and fierce, with an ever-present twinkle in the eye. I will miss him forever, even more than I can know right now. No arms can be her father's, but my daughter is surrounded by her very favorite people and all the hugs she could imagine. This will change us, but with prayer and love and the strength that is their companion, we can hope our heartache is not in vain-- that it will change us and the world in beautiful ways, just as he did. If that sounds too optimistic at this time, it's because it is. But there was no thought too optimistic for Jake, so take it and run with it. I will strive and pray not to feel I was cheated of many years with him, but cherish the gift of the years I had. In a life where nothing is guaranteed, Jake made the absolute, ever-lovin' most of his time with all of us. This is a family picture we took a couple weeks ago. It was taken because Jake, as always, was ready with a camera and his immense talent. All four members of our little, growing family are in it. I can never be without him because these babies are half him. They are made of some of the strongest, kindest stuff God had to offer this world. Please pray that he can see us and we'll all make him proud. God, I love him. Psalm 34:18, Philippians 1:3 A photo posted by Mary Katharine Ham (@mkhammertime) on Sep 20, 2015 at 7:25am PDT
