Allen Iverson Fights To Stop Foreclosure Of Atlanta Mansion

Former NBA superstar, Allen Iverson's mansion in Atlanta, Georgia is about to be foreclosed and could become the next big thing on the auction block. The former two-time league MVP and scoring champion has said that he is not going to take this one sitting down as he has already filed all of the necessary legal documents needed to prevent the sale. News of Iverson’s home being foreclosed in an auction was first released back on December 1, 2012.

Iverson bought the said house in 2010 for a reported sum of $4.5-million. However, official records stated that the former superstar had defaulted on his mortgage which prompted the bank to foreclose. Before the auction ever took place, Iverson sued the lender trying to foreclose his home saying that he had never agreed to the loan in the first place.

The lawsuit has been able to buy Iverson some time as it has temporarily ceased the foreclosure. Iverson also blames his soon-to-be ex-wife, saying that she allegedly signed the mortgage and agreed to financial terms that would be impossible for Iverson to meet.

This latest episode is yet another chapter in the nasty divorce that Iverson and his estranged wife, Tawanna, are currently going through right now.
