Sandra Bullock reportedly died today in what seemed a tragic accident in New Zealand. That's what circulating reports have been saying, but the "Gravity" actress is actually perfectly fine. It was found out later on that the report was simply another celebrity death hoax. However, many fans believed the news and quickly echoed their sympathy to the family and friends of the 49-year-old Hollywood actress.

News about Bullock's death circled the net today. Reports claimed that the actress died when she fell more than 60 feet on the Kauri Cliffs while filming her new movie that is set for a 2015 release.

It was found out later on that the reports originated from an article which appeared on the Global Associated News, a site notorious for spreading fake news and celebrity death hoaxes.

However, the report was made believable because of several statements. First, the article gave specific details on the time of death of the actress. It said that the accident happened at approximately 4:30 a.m. UTC/GMT+12, and she was declared dead on scene. Another was the statement that New Zealand Police officials confirmed the actress' early demise. Because of these statements, many fans believed the news report right away, and began to question if it were real.

Others didn't even try to confirm the news; they quickly voiced out their sentiments on the unfortunate passing of the "Gravity" star.

Meanwhile, some who are very familiar with the string of celebrity death hoaxes that have been victimizing more and more Hollywood celebrities lately slammed the report right away.

A few pointed out that a note about the fraud nature of the report was actually displayed at the bottom of the Global Associated News page.

The note reads: "THIS STORY IS 100% FAKE! this is an entertainment website, and this is a totally fake article based on zero truth and is a complete work of fiction for entertainment purposes! this story was dynamically generated using a generic 'template' and is not factual. Any reference to specific individuals has been 100% fabricated by web site visitors who have created fake stories by entering a name into a blank 'non-specific' template for the purpose of entertainment."

Sandra Bullock was last spotted at the 2014 Palm Springs International Film Festival awards GALA on Saturday, January 4, where the actress received the Desert Palm Achievement Award for her box office movie "Gravity."

The actress and her rep have not commented on the death hoax issue as of late.
