Atletico Madrid coach Diego Simeone gave a stern warning after their season ended, saying that fans should prepare for a possible exodus of key players this summer, and his prediction is slowly becoming a reality.
Multiple reports suggested that Arda Turan might consider moving to the English Premier League next season with sources saying that the midfielder has already received an offer to make a move to England.
Ahmet Bulut, the agent of Turan, revealed that the 27-year-old midfielder has received an offer from an English club, while also adding that they will consider all options this summer.
"Arda is currently playing at a big club with big ambitions," Bulut said. "He wants to be part of that success, but we must wait and see what happens. An offer from an English club has arrived. As in every transfer, two parties, the player and the club, they must make a decision."
Bulut did not name the team that sent an attractive offer to Turan, but sources believe that the offer was from Arsenal, whose manager, Arsene Wenger, was impressed with the Turkey international's performance this season.
Turan, who scored 10 goals in 54 games with Atletico this season, is also reportedly interested in making a move to Arsenal, but his move is not yet set in stone because several teams are expected to get into the picture as well.
Previous reports indicated that Manchester United and Liverpool are also interested in buying Turan, who is in contract with Atletico Madrid until after the 2017 season.
Aside Turan, midfielder Koke is also drawing significant interests from big-money clubs after also playing a huge role in Atletico's rise this season, helping the team win the La Liga title and finish runner-up to Real Madrid in the Champions League.
According to reports, Barcelona and Manchester United are planning to tender offers. While the 21-year-old midfielder is happy with offers he is receiving, he insisted that he is not thinking of leaving Vicente Calderon this summer.
"I have a long contract, I'm very happy. I'm proud to have important clubs interested in me, but I'm very happy here," Koke said via Goal.com. "Right now I'm thinking as an Atletico player, I have the World Cup and I'm thinking of the present, not of the future."
