'Dancing With The Stars' season 18 wrapped up with Meryl Davis and dancing partner Maks Chmerkovskiy winning the mirror ball trophy. While it was the first win for Maks, it wasn't the first for Meryl Davis, who previously snatched the gold medal in the Sochi Winter Olympics 2014 ice dancing competition alongside her previously rumored boyfriend Charlie White. Several weeks have passed since Davis and Chmerkovskiy and the two are still getting a lot of following from fans, who are not only happy for their victory but are also hoping that their dance floor chemistry will transform into real-life romance.

During the Sochi Winter Olympics 2014, it was inevitable for people to speculate that Meryl Davis may have dated her long-time partner Charlie White despite the latter's confirmation that he was sharing a faithful romantic relationship with Tanith Belbin. Rumors about Davis and White only ended when the ice dancing partners were pitted against each other in the 18th season of 'Dancing With The Stars,' most especially when Meryl Davis was paired up with the dance floor bad boy of the show, Maksim Chmerkovskiy, who was openly single at the start of the season and still is as of late (or is he?).

Now, it seems that everyone is still interested in finding out the real score between Meryl and Maks even though the former has long slammed the dating rumors. Interestingly, some sources, who were with the two during their DWTS journey recently revealed that Davis and Chmerkovskiy may have been sneaky in hiding their relationship.

A source told Life & Style that Meryl and Maks were one spotted kissing off-camera in the DWTS set. "It's even more intense [off screen]," said the source. "There were no cameras on them, but Maks was spotted kissing her and hugging her. They seem super close, and it is definitely not just for the cameras. Everyone on set has noticed their chemistry."

Meanwhile, another source dished to Hollywood Life that Meryl Davis and Maks Chmerkovskiy were really sweet on set. "They only talk with each other at the show and are really touchy and flirty," the insider said adding, "He is always talking about her great body and has his hands all over her, even when the cameras are off. They seem to only have eyes for each other and have a very sensual connection."

Because of their undeniable charm, connection and chemistry on the show, many believed and are hoping that Davis and Chmerkovskiy are indeed dating. In some parts of their routines, it can be noted that the two always tease fans of an "almost kiss" moment.

Nevertheless, other sources claimed that although Meryl and Maks are pretty close in real life, they are nowhere near the boyfriend-girlfriend zone. "They had a great time [in NYC] but honestly they aren't dating yet," one source told Us Weekly. "Maks is that affectionate with all women. He always acts like that, it's how he is, very touchy feely. He genuinely adores her but it is not dating yet."
