American Horror Story season 4 is already in the works, and show producers and cast members and even the network behind it are already claiming that AHS's fourth season will surely not disappoint fans. Subtitled 'Freak Show,' FX's hot horror anthology, American Horror Story is due for release in fall, but as early as now a few hints on what the new season will be all about have already been dropped.

AHS lead actress Sarah Paulson, who is already confirmed to be taking part in the new season, has recently opened up about the upcoming American Horror Story Season 4: Freak Show.

Paulson teased show fans and followers about the upcoming American Horror Story season in a video chat with Gold Derby. Although the actress has not revealed exact details on the storyline and the character she's playing, she managed to get everyone's attention when she said, "Oh Boy, it's not going to disappoint!"

Sarah Paulson, who has been with the show since its debut season, also gushed, "I know lots... I do know a lot of things... I really think people are not going to be disappointed. And, it's going to be very different than last year... in all the best ways."

Interestingly, Paulson also opened up about Ryan Murphy's main role in the success of American Horror Story. It can be noted that Murphy "spearheaded" the whole idea.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly Radio, Murphy dished that Sarah Paulson is playing the most challenging role in American Horror Story Season 4: Freak Show. In fact, Murphy said that Paulson had to learn a new skill in order for her to play her character in the new storyline effectively.

Ryan Murphy of course was referring to Sarah Paulson's training on how to be a performer. The actress reportedly undergone "physical, rigors" to get into her character.

Murphy said that Paulson's character is the "most challenging character I've ever created. I'm nervous for Sarah."  At the same time, it was also revealed that lead star Jessica Lange is to portray a German expat who is said to be the manager of the final freak shows in the US.

The network has revealed earlier that while the titular Freak Show is based in Jupiter, Florida in the storyline, filming of the series will take place in New Orleans and the setting of the story is in the 1950s.

American Horror Story fans who somehow took for granted the light storyline of AHS Season 3: Coven will surely like the new installment of the TV series since Murphy said that the upcoming season is "turning out to be quite terrifyingly dark."

Meanwhile, reports that two lead actors of American Horror Story will not be returning in the upcoming season has recently surfaced as well. Young actress Taissa Farmiga, who plays Zoe in Coven is reportedly not returning in the upcoming season because of her crammed schedule.

HollywoodHills reports that Farmiga is quite busy filming her new horror/comedy movie entitled "The Final Girls" The said flick has reportedly begun filming last April 2014 and sources say the schedule of the actress could interfere with the American Horror Story Season 4 production.

Another lead actor of the hit FX series, who is also very unlikely to return and join the show in its fourth run is Lily Rabe, who portrayed Misty Day in Coven. On her part, Rabe has reportedly been cast as lead of ABC's new alien drama series "The Whisperers" and this is seen as a possible threat to her AHS involvement this season.

Nevertheless, the official list of returning cast members and guest stars is yet to be unveiled by the network. Hence, there is still a chance that the rumors will not turn into a reality for both actresses.
