A second leaked video of Justin Bieber making racist jokes lands the Canadian singer in hot water, yet again. The video was reportedly taken five years ago while Bieber was filming his documentary, "Never Say Never" at the age of 14. In the video, Bieber may be seen cracking jokes with his companions, ad-libbing "One Less Lonely Girl" with the N-word, and mentioning an interest to join Ku Klux Klan in a humorous manner.
The once-Youtube sensation has since apologized for his racist language making this his second apology since the release of the first controversial video of Justin Bieber released only on Monday.
The apology, which was posted on the Sun, a UK news site, says, "facing my mistakes from years ago has been one of the hardest things I've ever dealt with... I need to step up and own what I did. I am sorry for all those I have let down and offended." Bieber's first apology was posted only on his Twitter account.
Hours after the existence of the second video was confirmed, Bieber posted a snapshot of a passage on "Jesus Calling", a book by Sarah Young, to express his regrets. The passage ends with a bible passage on sinning and forgiveness.
Scooter Braun, Justin Bieber's manager, has also responded with a personal quote on Instagram. His post reads, "some mistakes have no excuses. They are just wrong. But how a man reacts to those mistakes... How he owns it and learns from it... That defines him more than the mistake itself. - Scooter."
The video controversy is Justin Bieber's most recent brouhaha involving his relationship with other races. It may be recalled that Bieber also initiated a controversy after he was photographed visiting Tokyo's Yasukuni war shrine which honors Japan's fallen. The visit sparked negative feedback from other Asian fans who have been invaded by Japan in the past. He later issued an apology, "to anyone I have offended I am extremely sorry. I love you China and I love you Japan." However, the attempt at an apology angered South Korean fans further since they were not mentioned in Bieber's apology.
