'Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice' production has been under wraps from the get-go such that not much about the storyline, plot and other details of the big film has been released to the public. However, little-by-little, insiders have slowly leaked much anticipated info on the upcoming 'Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice.'

This week, the Internet is flooded with updates and rumors about the cast of the film. Cinemablend is one of the first to report that British beauty Emily Blunt is already part of the growing cast of 'Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice.'

Blunt, who is also starring on 'Edge of Tomorrow,' is obviously no stranger to the sci-fi genre, for she has been part of successful sci-fi flicks such as 'The Adjustment Bureau' and 'Looper' in the past. Hence, it is not hard to imagine that Emily Blunt will be part of Zack Snyder's 'Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice' star-studded cast.

As of late, nothing has been confirmed on the role Emily Blunt is portraying in the movie, but several news and gossip sites claim - including International Business Times - that the British actress is to play Catwoman, although the character has not been confirmed to be part of the crowded 'Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice' characters.

Upon the release of the said news, many fans took to Twitter to share their thoughts on Emily Blunt's casting for the much anticipated movie.

"Emily Blunt mooted as Batman-vs-Superman, Dawn Of Justice's Catwoman. Because what that film needs is more characters. And a longer name,"  Michael Moran tweeted.

"I'm all for Emily Blunt as Catwoman, but not in Batman V Superman," a Daniel Burden wrote.

It can be noted that Blunt was also reportedly considered for 'Captain America: The First Avenger' a few years back, but the actress turned down the part of Peggy Carter saying that "it just wasn't what I wanted to do next, to be honest."

If the speculations are right, Emily Blunt will join the star-studded cast of 'Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice' including: Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Jesse Eisenberg, Gal Gadot, Amy Adams, Laurene Fishburne, Diane Lane, Holly Hunter, Jeremy Irons, and Ray Fisher, among others.

Interestingly, Chris Begley of Batmannews.com dropped a few details on the on-going production of the huge film. Begley said that the production will focus on LexCorp this week.

"The LexCorp scene will be shot on June 12th and 13th and it will take place in the fall. Actors will be wearing layers with long sleeves, lightweight jackets, and blazers," Begley wrote.

"Will "Mr. LexCorp" Lex Luthor (played by Jesse Eisenberg) be in the scene? I'm hearing 'yes', but I'll have an update on exactly what goes down from my source next week. If a bald Jesse Eisenberg is spotted on set, you'll be the first to know," he added.

Apart from the LexCorp scenes, Man of Steel Fan Page leaked that a big military scene with a large number of extras will be shot next week as well.

In April, Crown City Pictures, a casting company, reportedly held auditions for Detroit-based extras, who would fit the roles of "military and business executive types."

Over 8,500 extras are reportedly requested to join the filming next week.

'Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice' is slated for an April 2016 release.
