V. Stiviano is never out of headlines since the recording of the phone conversation she shared with embattled LA Clippers owner Donald Sterling was released. This week, the controversial 31-year-old h reportedly been attacked by two men, with one arrested and identified as 40-year-old Dominick Diorio Tuesday, June 3.

V. Stiviano, who is the alleged ex-mistress of Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling, has been assaulted by two men last Sunday just outside of the Gansevoort Hotel in New York City. According to reports while one of the suspects was detained and identified as Dominick Diorio, the other one still remains at large after the attack.

V. Stiviano's attacker, Diminick Diorio, is said to be a resident of Old Bethpage, New York. He was arrested on four charges including "assault as a hate crime and aggravated harassment," according to Newsday.

Diorio reportedly surrendered to police on Long Island Tuesday, and he was since transferred to NYPD custody. The 40-year-old was one of the two men who were accused of punching V. Stiviano in the face.

The two suspects allegedly yelled racial slurs at V. Stiviano, who is of African-American and Mexican descent, while she was leaving the hotel's restaurant Sunday night, Mac Nehoray, V. Stiviano's attorney, said in a statement.

Nehoray added that one of the two punched his client in the face then shouted, "I am going to slaughter you," prior to striking her again while she was attempting to get into a taxi.

"On behalf of Ms. Stiviano, we would like to express our gratitude to the NYPD Hate Crimes Task Force for acting with utmost courtesy, professionalism and swiftness," Nehoray said in a statement to ESPN. "We know that many in the news media have access to and have been able to communicate directly with Ms. Stiviano. We now request that in light of the pending criminal matter and in an effort to not taint the proceedings, that Ms. Stiviano not be contacted directly and that all media requests be forwarded to her attorneys Mr. Mac Nehoray and/or Ms. Alaleh Kamran."

While the NYPD declined to reveal Diorio's comments to V. Stiviano that night, they confirmed that the statements were "racial in nature."

On Tuesday, photos that serve as proof to V. Stiviano's claim that she was assaulted in New York City was released via Daily Mail. The photos show the extensive bruising across the right side of Donald Sterling's alleged ex-mistress.

Mail Online reported that the suspects recognized V. Stiviano's role in the controversial NBA race scandal, which led Sterling to sell his team, the Los Angeles Clippers, but it isn't clear yet if the suspects were related to the latter.

New York Police Department Detective Brian Sessa said that investigation on the assault is still on-going.

Meanwhile, just last week, Sterling's wife, Shelly, sold the LA Clippers to former Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer for $2 billion, but the league approval is still pending.
