Halle Berry and ex-lover Gabriel Aubry's child support battle has ended bitterly for the Academy Award-winning actress, who is now obliged to pay a whopping $16,000 in support of her daughter, Nahla, each month, People has learned.

In a not so unusual Hollywood battle of celebrities on their child support terms, Halle Berry's is one that's obviously ended in a sour note. Not only is show now obliged to share the custody of her daughter with her ex-boyfriend Gabriel Aubry, she also has to pay the latter $16,000 in child support on a monthly basis. The said amount shall be made available for Nahla until she turns 19 or she finishes high school, which is actually a pretty long time granting that Halle Berry's daughter is just six this year.

Now aside from the monthly sum Halle Berry has to pay in child support, she is also reportedly paying $115,000 in retroactive support, according to TMZ. The bitter ruling for the actress was delivered in a Los Angeles court room last May 30, and TMZ reported that Halle was also ordered to pay Gabriel $300,000 in attorney's fees.

It can be noted that Halle Berry and Gabriel Aubry's co-parenting dilemma has gotten out of hand in 2012 when they celebrated their Thanksgiving with stained memories after Aubry got into a physical altercation with Halle's now-hubby, Olivier Martinez.

According to TIME, Halle Berry is now part of the growing number of women who pay child support. Citing a 2013 Pew report, women are said to be the sole or primary breadwinners in 40% of households with children under 18. Additionally, cases of women paying child support are sees to likely rise, given that more men are seeking for shared custody.

Halle Berry, 47, and Gabriel, Aubry, 38, started dating in 2005. Their relationship lasted until 2010 but throughout the said period, they were never married.

Olivier Martinez is reportedly Halle Berry's third husband to date.
