Kelly Clarkson, the very pregnant "American Idol" Season 1 winner last month, has now given birth to a healthy young girl, and she just couldn't help but announce the good news to her fans and to the world by tweeting about the successful delivery of her baby, Inquisitr has learned.

The Grammy award-winning singer was very happy after giving birth to her first ever baby on Thursday such that she couldn't wait to announce the news to the world herself. Thus, she took it to Twitter to relay that she is now officially a mother.

"Our baby girl River Rose Blackstock arrived on June 12th! Thank you everyone for all of your well wishes! Brandon and I are on cloud 9!! :)" Clarkson said of her baby girl, who based on her tweet was named River Rose Blackstock.

In November 2013, the 32-year-old singer confirmed to the public that she and husband Brandon Blackstock were already expecting their very first baby. "I'm pregnant!!!" she tweeted on Nov. 19, according to Us Magazine. "Brandon and I are so excited! Best early Christmas present ever."

It can be noted that Clarkson has log expressed her desire to be a mom. The "Tie It Up" singer told Us mag back in October, "More than anything, next I want a baby. Lots of them!" She then added, "My record label is freaking out because all I can talk about now are babies. We're really excited and want to get our family started."

The then 31-year-old even jokingly gushed, "I'm 31 and we'd like to do it the natural way. My eggs aren't getting any younger! So we're really excited."

On Jan. 20, the multi-awarded singer shared to her fans that she's having a baby girl. "We just found out we're having a girl officially! I knew it!" she tweeted. "Only a girl could cause this much drama with all this vomiting ha!"

In her guesting on the Ellen DeGeneres show, Clarkson dished that she vomited a "good dozen times a day" and she even remarked, "You're not attractive when you're pregnant."

Brandon Blackstock, 37, and Kelly Clarkson started exclusively dating in February 2012, Examiner noted. Brandon is the son of the singer's manager and he is also Reba McEntire's stepson. They tied the knot in October 20, 2013.
