Previously on Big Brother Season 16, the large alliance among Caleb Reynolds, Frankie Grande, Zach Rance, Derrick Levasseur, Cody Calafiore, and Devin Shepherd was formed, only to fall apart quickly when Devin haphazardly invited Christine Brecht and Amber Borzotra into the Bomb Squad. Without putting much thought to it and consulting the other six members, Devin allied the two ladies to bring in some estrogen to the group prior to telling Caleb and the rest of the squad what he has done. Hence, the six-membered squad became an eight-member alliance. Then, Devin speculated that Donny Thompson may be forming an alliance with the women after overhearing the latter cracking jokes to the ladies.
