"Orange is the New Black" got canceled? No way! Shocking news about Netflix's hit show "Orange Is the New Black" getting axed after two seasons spread like wildfire on the Internet this week. But is this there truth in this report?

According to Hollywood Life this unbelievable report is actually pure hoax! Netflix is far from canceling "Orange Is the New Black" since it's one of its biggest hit offerings thus far.

Nevertheless, it is noteworthy that many fans went crazy and lost their marbles over the shocking news claiming the show was abruptly canceled for no apparent reason.

"IF ORANGE IS THE NEW BLACK IS ACTUALLY CANCELLED I WILL BE THE MOST DISTRAUGHT PERSON ON THE PLANET," Jill Bottari tweeted.

"If they were really canceling orange is the new black I would've had a heart attack!" Twitter user Alexandra gushed.

"if Orange is the new black truly is cancelled I'm going to cry," Alyssa Lundrigan commented.

"If "Orange is the New Black" is actually cancelled I'm boycotting Netflix!" Jessica Hanlon exclaimed.

The root of this blazing anger was Empire News, the site that claimed the hit show had been "permanently canceled" after returning with a 13-episode Season 2.

The site even went as far as citing CEO Reed Hastings as source to make it sound believable.

"We regret to inform Netflix members that Orange is the New Black has been permanently cancelled," the post read. "Also, starting September 1st, 2014, past episodes will no longer be available for streaming on Netflix."

It's fortunate that the site itself clarified that it's satirical by nature on its About page.

"Empire News is a satirical and entertainment website. We only use invented names in all our stories, except in cases when public figures are being satirized. Any other use of real names is accidental and coincidental," the description for the site read.

Interestingly, TIME, which also picked up the news story and slammed it as hoax, noted that Netflix posted a snap of characters Crazy Eyes and Tasty  on set filming the upcoming third season on Sunday.

So yeah! "Orange Is the New Black" was not canceled. The show is even returning with its outrageously epic storyline for Season 3.
