Zoe Saldana's husband has been quite reclusive from the eyes of the media. He's been spotted from time to time with his actress wife though. And just recently it was revealed that he has sired a baby with Saldana, who is now three months pregnant. But who is Zoe Saldana's husband really?
According to E! News, Zoe Saldana's husband is an Italian artist named Marco Perego.
In 2007, Zoe Saldana's husband, who was an rising artist then, dished to New York Observer that his mother was a housewife and his father was a waiter.
That said, Perego has lived a very simple life until he became a full-fledged artist at the age of 34.
The Italian hottie used to be a professional soccer player but a serious leg injury has caused him to divert into a different profession.
Zoe Saldana's husband reportedly worked as a busboy after the incident and eventually moved on to becoming an artist.
Fortunately, the artistic field has somehow worked out for Perego since he quickly landed his first solo art show in NYC six years ago.
Interestingly, sources have come out to say that Zoe Saldana's husband is a "really good guy" and someone who has "a really good energy."
While many have raised their brows because of the short courtship between the actress and the artist, Saldana once clarified that she has known her husband for more than five years before they eventually started dating.
"Zoe is super happy right now," a source said. "She's in a really happy place."
Well, why shouldn't she be? After all she's with someone who is nicknamed "Pirate Perego" for having that Johnny Depp aura and sexiness.
Plus, Saldana once gushed before that she's looking for someone who is "a badass renegade! A pirate! A pirate who can cry. Oh, my god!"
Zoe Saldana and husband Marco Perego reportedly tied the knot secretly just last July in London.
They were spotted wearing their golden bands earlier this month.
In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the "Colombiana" actress spoke frankly of her relationship with her husband.
"No! I've known my partner for five years. I knew of his work. I knew of him. Then we met. And months later, we both made the decision to do what we both individually vowed never to do-to get married," she said.
"Why get married? Because I believe in love? Because I don't want my kids to be called bastards? No. Those reasons are not natural to me. Maybe for tax reasons I would have done it," she added.
