Rob Kardashian has this strong connection with Lamar Odom. And as opposed to previous rumors speculating that they were apparently romancing each other behind Khloe's back, source have come out to clarify that Rob actually saw Lamar as a father figure.

According to Hollywood Life, Rob's difficulties and troubles with his sisters and momager Kris Jenner was all triggered by his feelings of abandonment after Lamar Odom left his reality family.

An insider said that Rob was and still is "deeply depressed" after Lamar Odom's separation from his sister Khloe.

TMZ revealed just this week that Rob felt "fatherly abandonment" after Odom left his side since the latter was the only one who pretty much understood him inside out.

Because of his depression, Rob Kardashian allegedly indulged into excessive partying to help him move on, but somehow it has led him to another problem: weight gain.

It can be noted that Rob's weight gain has become a huge issue not only for "Keeping Up With The Kardashians" fans but also and most especially to Kim Kardashian, who had a fight with Kris' only boy hours prior to her wedding with Kanye West.

"Rob thrived around Lamar, inspiring him to start a business and get in awesome shape. They became best friends, but Rob idolized him," a source recently revealed.

Meanwhile, Khloe Kardashian thinks that her estranged ex-husband has basically done some magic trick to poison her brother's mind.

"Rob has said, like, 'Being in that house, it was so dark, and it made me do dark things,'" Khloe told Brody Jenner during their family's Thailand trip for an episode of KUWTK.

TMZ maintains that it was not actually Lamar's influence on drug use that paved to Rob Kardashian's downfall but it was the dissolution of Khloe and Lamar's relationship.

Rob was apparently seeing his mom and dad fighting in the persons of Khloe and Lamar and he thought that it was bad enough. When Lamar finally left, it was like the final straw for Rob, who finally caved in to doing what he basically wants to do without thinking of their consequences and implications.

Moreover, Rob is now not that pleased with the way his family is putting him under the microscope on national television.

"Rob really resents that his entire family is capitalizing on his weight issues by talking about them on Keeping Up With the Kardashians," an insider told Hollywood Life.

"It's embarrassing enough, so much so that he's just isolating himself, especially from the family. He still talks to Khloe, but he just doesn't spend as much time with her because he wants to isolate himself."
