Robin Williams found dead in his Tiburon, Calif., home just this afternoon, and authorities are saying that it appears the 63-year-old actor has committed suicide due to depression.

According to the Marin County Sheriff's department, Robin Williams was found dead and he is suspected of taking his own life through asphyxia, Forbes has learned.

The representative of the actor, Mara Bauxbaum, said Robin Williams was found dead amid his long battle against depression.

The news about Robin Williams found dead comes just months after his CBS show "The Crazy Ones," alongside Sarah Michelle Gellar, got cancelled just after its freshman run.

After Robin Williams was found dead, the world mourns for the loss of such great comedic talent, who has spanned decades in the showbiz industry and contributed a significant number of films, shows and whatnot, noted TIME.

Williams latest finished project was an appearance as Dwight D. Eisenhower in "Lee Daniels' The Butler."

Robin Williams was found dead at a time when he was already working on the third installment for "Night at the Museum," where he played Teddy Roosevelt.

Prior to his death, Williams was said to have struggled with drug addiction and he even did several rehab stints for alcohol and cocaine
