Award Winning Actor-Comedian, Robin Williams Found Dead in an Alleged Suicide in His Northern California Home at 63

The whole world was shocked when news broke about the sudden death of the Award winning actor-comedian, Robin Williams, who allegedly committed suicide after being found dead in his Northern California home at the age of 63.

The Marin County authorities reported that they received a call on Monday afternoon for an unidentified male who was unconscious and not breathing.

Responders then identified the unconscious person as the Award winning actor-comedian, Robin Williams when they arrived at his home near Tiburon, North of San Francisco, California.

Reports say Robin Williams was shortly announced dead. The coroner's division suspected the death was a suicide due to asphyxia, a medical term for a death or loss of consciousness caused by being unable to breathe properly. However, the cause of death of the actor-comedian was still under further investigation.

At 63, Robin Williams leaves behind wife, Susan Schneider, and their three children. Williams' family respectfully requested for their privacy as they grieve for this difficult time of loss.

Mara Buxbaum, the actor's publicist, recounted that the actor-comedian had been recently suffering from severe depression.

Last month, the Award winning actor-comedian reportedly struggled with addiction that caused him to enter a Minnesota rehabilitation center to help him maintain or "fine tune and focus" his sobriety after working longer than usual schedule. It was known that Robin Williams had suffered from cocaine and alcohol abuse in the past.

Robin Williams first gained popularity for his fast-paced routines that could switch from childlike silliness to dark, profanity-laced ranting as a stand-up act. Robin Williams' lucrative movie career mixed serious turns in film like Good Will Hunting with comedy like Mrs. Doubtfire.

Before his death, Robin Williams was currently working on the third follow-up of the movie 'The Night at the Museum' as President Teddy Roosevelt. A 'Mrs. Doubtfire' movie sequel was also in the works.

Among many of those who paid tribute to the Award winning actor-comedian was United States President Barrack Obama. He will be greatly remembered for the countless moments of joy, laughter, tears and hopes he shared to millions of people worldwide.
