After opening up about his heartbreaking exit from the movie adaptation Fifty Shades of Grey, how much is Charlie Hunnam's net worth?
Last September 2, 2013, it was announced that English actor-screenwriter Charlie Hunnam would play the role of Christian Grey in the film adaptation of E. L. James' novel Fifty Shades of Grey. The announcement created a great fanfare thus helping to boost up Charlie Hunnam's net worth. However, over a month later, on October 12, 2013, Universal Pictures announced that the actor had withdrawn from the film due to conflicts with the schedule of his series Sons of Anarchy.
The 34-year old British born actor, Charlie Hunnam withdrawn from the role due to scheduling conflicts and was replaced by model-turned actor and Once Upon A Time star, Jamie Dornan opposite Dakota Johnson as the college graduate Anastasia Steele. The project was believed to increase Charlie Hunnam's estimated $8 million net worth.
The Sons of Anarchy star, Charlie Hunnam said that he can't wait for the finish product of the film Fifty Shades of Grey. He was also so excited to see the film. Charlie Hunnam was also invested and wanted to work with director Sam Taylor Johnson and to play the character. He also praised the author, E. L. James for her brilliance in creating a sophisticated dynamic and presented it in a package which was accessible to people who normally would fear the subject of her novel.
Charlie Hunnam also admitted that his exit from the cast of the film was "pretty heartbreaking". However he was willing to have his audition tape be included on the DVD as an extra for inquisitive fans. Charlie Hunnam also encouragingly commented on Jamie Dornan's role in Fifty Shades of Grey, he said that Jamie Dornan is probably better looking and smoother than he is and that he would've brought a certain rugged charm to the role. Playing billionaire Christian Grey would have contributed to the rise of Charlie Hunnam's personal net worth.
Because of Charlie Hunnam's busy schedule on his FX series Sons of Anarchy and Guillermo Del Toro's new horror film Crimson Peak, he was not able to play the lead role in the movie adaptation of Fifty Shades of Grey.
The film Fifty Shades of Grey is scheduled to open on Valentine's Day next year, while the final season of the Sons of Anarchy premieres on September 9 at 10 pm ET on FX.
Fans would have been saddened by Charlie Hunnam's exit on Fifty Shades of Grey, but still hopeful for his future projects that will upsurge his growing $8 million net worth.
