Jennifer Lawrence was one of the Hollywood stars who made headlines earlier this week after a huge number of nude photos leaked online.

Previous reports indicated that several nude photos of Lawrence went viral online, which were first posted on 4chan by a user who is trying to earn bitcoins from his so-called collection.

The alleged hacker even revealed that he still has more than 60 naked photos of Lawrence along with several videos, which were hacked from the actress' phone.

Hollywood Life reported that the Oscar-winning actress is "horrified" by the controversy, and the 24-year-old expressed fear that the leaked photos would hurt her acting career. The Hunger Games star reportedly feels that her future roles might be affected by the recent scandal.

"Jen is horrified over this leak and knows that this will possibly effect her upcoming roles," a source close to Lawrence was quoted as saying. "She knows that A list stars don't have this type of controversy attached to them and is very much horrified over the whole situation."

Lawrence's camp confirmed that the leaked photos showing the actress were real, and that they have already contacted authorities to investigate the incident.

"This is a flagrant violation of privacy," Lawrence's spokesperson told TMZ. "The authorities have been contacted and will prosecute anyone who posts the stolen photos of Jennifer Lawrence."

Aside from Lawrence, several high-profile stars were also involved in the controversy, including 21-year-old recording artist Ariana Grande, who insisted on Monday that the leaked nude photos of her are fake.

Kate Upton, Selena Gomez, Kim Kardashian, Rihanna, Mary Elizabeth Winstead and Victoria Justice were also mentioned in the full list that was allegedly released by the hacker.

The controversial photos were reportedly obtained by the uploaded by taking advantage of a recent iCloud glitch, which allowed him to hack the celebrities' phones.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation said in a statement that investigations about the massive hacking are already ongoing, while Apple said that they are trying to find out if the incident is really related to their iCloud service.

"The FBI is aware of the allegations concerning computer intrusions and the unlawful release of material involving high-profile individuals, and is addressing the matter," the FBI said in a statement. "Any further comment would be inappropriate at this time."

"We take user privacy very seriously and are actively investigating this report," Apple said in a statement.
