Apple Spokesman Adam Howorth said, "Some customers asked for the ability to delete 'Songs of Innocence' from their library, so we set up itunes.com/soi-remove to let them easily do so. Any customer that needs additional help should contact AppleCare."

The intention behind giving away Apple U2 to half a billion of iTunes customers was good. However, not everyone is a U2 fan or appreciates the free album. Even Bono himself recognizes such fact.
Bono's letter regarding Songs of Innocence, "over a half a billion people are going to have Songs of Innocence…And for the people out there who have no interest in checking us out, look at it this way… the blood, sweat and tears of some Irish guys are in your junk mail. "
He even stated on his letter that the album was free but paid for by Apple to celebrate the 10-year anniversary of U2's iPod commercial. The total cost of the free gift is close to hundred million dollars from publicizing the album all the way to make the entire public know about the its release on iTunes store.
Apple indeed pay the price for a free gift Apple U2 album, a hefty price that led to some customers voicing out to uninstall it from their iOs device.
