NBA 2K15 release date is now less than two weeks away from now, and the highly anticipated video game is already making a lot noise as new features and gameplay details are being unveiled over the past several days.
2K Sports released what they called as the "Momentous" trailer showing new animations using NBA superstars Kevin Durant, LeBron James, Derrick Rose, Carmelo Anthony, Tony Parker, Stephen Curry, James Harden, Russell Westbrook, LaMarcus Aldridge and Kyrie Irving.
Previous reports indicated that NBA 2K15, which is expected to be among the top video games of the year, will feature more than 6,000 new animations, which were shown in the recent trailer.
Aside from the momentous trailer, 2K Sports also released a new video about one of the new features for the popular MyCareer mode wherein your controlled player will learn from the best player on your team.
In the new video, players like Harden, Andre Drummond and Durant will talk to your controlled player and give advice or comments on the recent game that you played. 2K Sports managed to capture voices of these mentors, which mean that they will sound like their real-life counterparts.
Another highly anticipated feature of the game is the new face-scan technology, which allows user to scan their face and use it in the game.
According to Visual Concepts vice president of sports development Jeff Thomas, the new features were made possible by the power of the next-gen consoles.
"It's all done using the processing power of the next-gen systems," Thomas said via ESPN. "We've been talking about doing this for a number of years, but it really wasn't possible until we knew the processing power of the next-gen machines. It took some time to get it right."
2K Sports also released updated player ratings. Below is the list of the 30th to 50th-ranked players in the upcoming basketball video game, which will be released on October 7 for PS4, Xbox One, PS3, Xbox 360 and Windows PC.
