The grandest of all weddings is coming! Let's take a glimpse inside the Hollywood's most eligible bachelor, George Clooney's wedding. George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin are set to get married on Monday in Venice.

There is really no turning back now. The date is set and the bride has found her gown. And the groom, a man prominently mum about his personal life is opposing all the confidentiality standards of VIP marriages to gush about his happy day. If marriage is a leap of faith, then George Clooney is somersaulting at this moment, a split instant from his dive.

According to several news reports, in the next few days, the renowned lady-killer, George Clooney, 53, will tie the knot with Amal Alamuddin, an accomplished 36-year-old human rights barrister, after twenty years as the most notorious and most eligible bachelor on earth.

Before the wedding, George Clooney and his coy bride were seen in Venice on an old-fashioned boat, they are obviously blissfully in love. Consistent with The Guardian, a council website issued a cautionary notice to residents that the road around the town hall would be closing to pedestrians from noon until around 2pm on Monday.  It is due to the massive arrival of A-list stars and people which were drawn by the affair's stellar eminence.

A Venice Council spokesperson said, "We cannot give any information because this is all covered by privacy regulations." But it's rumored that over 150 Hollywood stars and other showbiz pals are expected to descend on Venice for the fêtes.

The Telegraph reported that before the official ceremony of George Clooney's wedding at the Town Hall on Monday, personages including Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, Bono, Matt Damon, Cindy Crawford with her husband Rande Gerber, who is the best man, will be in town for a weekend of revelry. While Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli and US pop star Lana Del Rey are expected to provide musical entertainment. They will be  transported in police boats from the five-star Belmond Cipriani on Giudecca to the Aman Resort on the Grand Canal, Venice's only seven-star hotel which discretion is requisite, for the main wedding reception.

As per Us Weekly, the former mayor of Rome and George Clooney's best pal, Walter Veltroni will officiate the first wedding ceremony over the weekend. After the rite, the whole party will feast on Italian cuisine by a top chef, before returning to the Cipriani hotel for late-night merriment.

George Clooney's Venetian wedding sounds pretty marvelous. And Amal will undoubtedly look the part. Astute wedding-watchers can't wait to catch a prevue of the bride's rumored McQueen dress while the groom will be in a Giorgio Armani suit.

The Venice wedding will be the second for George Clooney.  Keen wedding-watchers have tagged the wedding to be the grandest, most extravagant and most luxurious wedding celebrations this year considering the affluent statuses of the soon-to-be-married couple.
