Microsoft Corporation is set to give the world a feel of its latest operating system at an event in San Francisco on Tuesday, Sept. 30^th.

Currently, not much detail has been released about the operating system. Reports indicate that Microsoft may choose to end its numerical Windows series (which has seen Windows 7 and Windows 8) and give its latest release a brand new name.

Experts say the product, which the company has been working on for some years now, is expected to drastically improve the Windows 8 experience - especially for corporate users who have criticized the unsuitability of the pro-tablet design of the operating system.

Tech pundits have speculated that the new Microsoft release will feature an improved Start menu - which was notably lost in Windows 8 - as well as a voice-activated personal assistant like Apple's Sir or Cortana on the company's line of Smartphones. The absence of the Start menu in Windows 8 led to a barrage of criticisms being directed at the company. Many users of Windows 8 have also complained about the difficulty of having to switch between the new and old desktop screen.

Although the company has already made many improvements in the operating system to support the work environment, officials say the new release will feature more changes.

The Wall Street Journal quotes David Johnson, an analyst at Forrester, explaining that "Microsoft needs to give enterprises reasons to move to a newer version before it becomes a crisis."

"The schizophrenic behavior between the modern user interface and the Windows desktop has got to go away" he said, "They have to smooth that out."

Microsoft will reportedly officially launch the full operating system sometime in the beginning of next year.
