President Obama's Credit Card Declined In New York Restaurant

President Barack Obama's credit card has been declined while he was dinning at a New York restaurant last month following a United Nations General Assembly meeting.
The president said on Friday that he like all other Americans had faced the unflattering experience of having his credit card rejected.
"I was there during the General Assembly, and my credit card was rejected,"Obama said at he Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, where he went to sign new laws aimed at protecting people from increasing identity theft and credit card fraud.
"They thought there was some fraud going on, " Obama said while declaring plans his government has to increasing general security for both credit and debit cards.
The president reiterated the incident during the signing an executive order that uses "chip and pin" technology to protect government credit cards and other digital payment points. Private operators in the financial field are expected to follow the new order.
President Obama said that the waitress at the Estela restaurant in Manhattan where he was dinning "thought there was some fraud going on.' He joked that he tried to explain to the waitress that " I've been paying my bills".
The executive order to strengthen security is aimed at payment options that offer federal financial services like Social Security to tax paying Americans.
"The order also mandates that government agencies begin introducing machines that read a new type of credit card that uses an embedded microchip and PIN code to authorize transactions," according to a report from Hufingtonpost.
President Obama went on to say that his credit card was declined because as" it turned out, I guess I don't use it enough." The president said that first lady Michelle Obama came to his rescue, adding that " even I'm affected by this."
