Bodies in upscale apartment - A British banker living in Hong Kong has been arrested after police found the dead bodies of two women in his Wan Chai upscale apartment on Saturday.
Rurik George Caton Jutting, 29, was arrested after police received distress calls from his 31st-floor apartment around 3:42 a.m. on Saturday morning.
Reports indicate that upon arrival, officials found bodies in the upscale apartment. The first corpse was reportedly found lying in the living room naked and unconscious. She allegedly had knife wounds on her neck and buttocks.
The woman, who has been identified as a DJ at a community pub, is believed to be from the Phillipines and is between the age of 25 and 30. She was pronounced dead soon after police arrived on the scene.
The body of a second woman was also found shortly after the first one was discovered. According to reports, the corpse was found in the balcony stuffed inside a black suitcase and wrapped in a carpet.
The victim has since been identified as Sumarti Ningsih, a 25-years-old Indonesian woman, who is believed to have been murdered since Oct. 27.
Reports indicate that one of the bodies in the upscale apartment was already showing signs of decomposition.
A post-mortem has been scheduled to determine the exact cause of death of the bodies in upscale apartment. The two deceased females are believed to be visiting Hong Kong to work as prostitutes.
Meanwhile, officials say Jutting is most likely the same person who called the cops to his flat.
The suspect is a former student of Cambridge University. He reportedly moved to Hong Kong last year, where he worked for the Bank of America.
Jutting, the man at the center of the 'bodies in upscale apartment' story, has surprisingly refused bail. He was arraigned before a Hong Kong court on Monday where he faced two charges of murder. His next hearing is scheduled for Nov. 10th.
