Woman pretends to be daughter - A Florida mom driving on a suspended license has been arrested after she feigned to be her own daughter when cops being pulled her over this past weekend.
Reports indicate that on Saturday, 43 years old Jennifer R. Crosby was pulled over by an Indian River County Sheriff's Office deputy, who observed she was driving with her tail lights out.
Crosby, who was driving with a suspended license, said she automatically assumed she was being pulled over because of that. Therefore, she resolved to pretend to be her 22 years old daughter Christina R. Topp.
The suspect said "She did not have her license on her because she forgot her purse," Deputy Colby Smith said. "The driver told me that her name was Christina T. Topp with a date of birth of March 16, 1992."
Dept. Smith said he grew suspicious of Crosby's claims after noting that her date of birth did not match her appearance.
The woman, who pretends to be her daughter, however sought to support her unconvincing claim by lying further that she is suffering from a rare medical condition that causes one to age rapidly.
Reports indicate that upon further questioning, Crosby admitted to making up the whole story because she feared she would be arrested for driving without a driver's license.
The woman, who pretends to be her daughter, was immediately arrested for driving on a suspended license and also providing a false identity to police officers. She is currently being held in the Indian River County Jail.
This is not the first time Crosby has been pulled over and arrested for driving without a license. In June, she was arrested for possession of crack cocaine, which she willingly confessed was wrapped in a foil and hidden in her vagina.
'The woman who pretends to be daughter' story has been widely discussed on many forums this week. Commentators have been divided between praising her sincerity and damning her bad decisions.
