Juan Manuel Marquez will likely face Kell brook in his return fight in 2015 as reports indicated that negotiations for the possible showdown are already underway.

Matchroom Sports promoter Eddie Hearn said in an interview with BoxingScene that he has already reached out to Marquez's camp about their interest in facing Brook.

Hearn said that they are aware Marquez is looking to win his fifth world title in as many divisions before he retires from boxing. Facing Brook, the reigning International Boxing Federation welterweight champion, could fulfill Marquez's goal, but Hearn said that they are still waiting for the Mexican boxing legend's camp to accept the offer.

"I'd love to make Brook-Marquez in the spring," Hearn said. "I've reached out to Marquez's team, he's looking to win world title in five different weights and we're willing to give him the shot. It's a massive fight, Marquez is a huge name in world boxing."

Hearn also added that they have already talked to HBO about the proposed fight and the network expressed interest in carrying the bout. He also added that they made a reservation at Sheffield Arena for the fight, but also said that they might need a bigger venue, considering the magnitude of the bout.

"I've spoken to HBO and it's a certainly a fight they would be interested in," Hearn said. "We've reserved Sheffield Arena for March 7, but a Marquez fight would require a bigger venue. Now we are just waiting for a response from his team to see if it's a fight that can be made."

Marquez, who turned 41 years old in August, is still undecided on whether or not he will retire or fight one more time next year. But in the event he decides to fight again, Marquez said that they will definitely look for a title fight.

Manny Pacquiao, the reigning World Boxing Organization welterweight champion, is reportedly not on their plans anymore despite the Filipino boxing icon's world title.

Marquez's trainer, Nacho Beristain, recently said that he won't allow Marquez to face Pacquiao again because they don't want people to forget their sixth-round knockout win against the former pound-for-pound king in December.

"I definitely do not see us fighting Pacquiao again, but with Kell Brook he's a fighter with good technique, he holds a lot and that is concerned, but I think it's a good fight for Juan. If he continues fighting, hopefully he can [get that fight] because he would get the opportunity to get the fifth title," Beristain said.
