Comedian Will Ferrel and action star Mark Wahlberg is about to team up again for an upcoming movie called Daddy's Home that is set for release next year. It will be distributed under Paramount Pictures and Sean Anders (Horrible Bosses 2) is going to direct it.
This is not the first time Ferrel and Wahlberg is seen in a movie because the two have already worked back in 2010 when they released the film The Other Guys. This movie is about a divorced guy (played by Ferrel) who found himself once again in the life of his ex-wife but this time, he has to deal with her current husband alongside dealing with being a step dad. That's right, the kids he will be handling here are his ex-wife's kids from her new husband.
In the movie, Ferrel is also this radio executive who has class and knows exactly how to be polite towards other people. On the other hand, Wahlberg's character is the complete opposite so the two will have a lot of conflict hanging out just because of their character differences.
This upcoming comedy film is written by Brian Burns along with Sean Anders and other writers who wrote for the hit TV series Entourage namely John Morris, Etan Cohen, Adam McCay and Chris Henchy. There are also two production houses handling this project and they are Red Granite and Gary Sanchez Productions.
Paramount is very excited for this project that their President, Adam Goodman said in a recent press conference that the two's chemistry is going to make this film a success.
Lots of fans love this duo's first tandem, which is from The Other Guys and following it up with another movie is going to no doubt become a hit once again. Catch Daddy's Home when it is finally out for release on 2015.
