Hundreds of Occupy Wall Street activists marched through the streets of New York City Saturday protesting police violence and demanding the resignation of New York City Police Commissioner Ray Kelly.

According to a Reuters report, several hundred protesters zig-zagged from Zuccotti Park in Lower Manhattan, where the movement was born last year, to Union Square Park in what was billed as a demonstration against police brutality.

Police arrested 14 people in the duirng the march and a second action at the United Nations, authorities said.

Ten marchers were arrested, most for disorderly conduct. Outside the UN headquarters, an action declared 10 "disrupt corporate polluters" witnessed the arrest of four demonstrators.

Protesters carried banners that said "End police brutality" and signs such as "Angry Pacifist", "Shame on NYPD", and "They never stop & frisk old white guys like me."

The protest came a day after the NYPD said it was firing an undercover detective who had fired the first shots of a hail of police gunfire that killed an unarmed black man who was leaving his bachelor party in 2006.

The killing of Sean Bell sparked outrage from black community leaders, who said it was evidence of groundless racial profiling and excessive force in the department.

This Saturday was the second in a row marked with activists' arrests. Last Saturday, NYPD seized more than 70 OWS activists during a violent raid at Zuccotti Park.
