Hollywood comedian Robin Williams died at the age of 63 on August 11, 2014 due to asphyxia caused by hanging. The actor who was famous for his movies like Jumanji, Patch Adams, Good Morning Vietnam and Mrs. Doubtfire was confirmed to have died of suicide.
He had long been suffering from depression but he wasn't able to talk to anyone about it. The autopsy of his death also finally came out and it says that no drugs or alcohol was present in his system the day he took his life. However, prescription drugs were found in his body, which includes an antidepressant.
His wife saw him for the last time the day before he died but showed no sign of suicide after that. The next morning, his assistant was already bothered when he tried to knock on the door of his room but he wasn't responding. The assistant then just opened the door and saw the actor dead.
Williams' works in the movie industry were all critically acclaimed. Thousands of people from around the world were saddened for his lost. According to his wife, he spent his life helping a lot of people in so many ways like entertaining them in movies and even visiting a sick child in the hospital. She said that it is Robin's goal to make people laugh and less fearful.
Before his death, he was said to be sleeping inside his stepson's room due to insomnia and anxiety attacks related to Parkinson's, which he was told to have back in November of last year.
According to County Assistant Deputy Chief Coroner Lt. Keith Boyd the late comedian hung himself on his bedroom door using a belt and the last call that was found made on his cellphone was with his wife Susan that ended in 38 seconds.
