Nick Lachey revealed on a recent interview with Jenny McCarthy during her show Dirty, Sexy, Funny on SiriusXM Show that he is indeed happy that he and former wife Jessica Simpson didn't get to have any kids when they were together.

According to Lachey who is now married to model and host Vanessa Minnillo, "In our situation, that was probably the best thing that could have ever happened that we didn't have kids."

He also said added, "And look, you're always going to love your kids no matter how you feel about their parent, but all things being equal, it was the best thing probably for both of us that we went on with our lives."

Nick and Jessica used to be on a reality TV show called Newlyweds: Nick and Jessica. They eventually called it quits in December of 2005 filing irreconcilable differences for their divorce,

Both of them are now happily married with their respective partners and kids. Simpson has two kids while Lachey has another child coming, which is also going to be their second child.

Nick and Vanessa celebrated their birthday along with their son's at Disneyland and they decided to make it the celebration big for their kid before their daughter who is on the way arrives. According to E! News, that their son Camden is excited about the fact that they are having a daughter and that he even kisses his mom's belly talking to his unborn baby sister inside.

The whole family can't wait to have a baby girl in the family that they did a lot of shopping this time more than they did when their son Camden arrived. Nick said that his wife is also a trouper when it comes to the whole pregnancy experience.
