‘The Walking Dead’ Season 5 Midseason Finale Haunts Audiences With Adrenaline Rush-Filled Ending

"The Walking Dead" season 5 midseason finale ended with another surprise death that stunned viewers on Sunday. This season, the AMC horror-drama television series haunted its audiences with a compelling and adrenaline-rush filled ending.
"The Walking Dead" season 5 premiered on Oct. 12, 2014 and is consist of 16 episodes. The latest season introduced a group of notable villains based on comics like The Hunters and Father Gabriel Stokes. As said by several critics, the fifth season has been a huge improvement to its previous seasons.
On Sunday, "The Walking Dead" season 5 had its midseason finale. It ended with Beth Greene, played by Emily Kinney, shot dead by Officer Dawn Lerner, portrayed by Christine Woods, after she was stabbed by Greene with a pair of scissors. Eventually, Lerner died after she was shot dead in revenge by Daryl.
The Sunday's midseason finale episode entitled, "Coda" marked the halfway point of the 16-episode fifth season of the series with the final eight episodes airing next year. According to The Daily Mail, the ninth episode of "The Walking Dead" will return on Feb. 8, 2015.
In line with "The Walking Dead" realm, there will always be someone who's going to die at every finale of the series. And as the season reached it midpoint, Entertainment Weekly said the season five ended with a gut-wrenching midseason finale. The series loves to end on tragedies as well as deaths and the episode on Sunday proved the show just ended with a blast as Beth and Dawn died.
The fifth season of "The Walking Dead" has received extensive critical praise. Based on some reviews, the series continues to deliver great and spectacular entertainment. And with the series' ever-evolving cast, it still surprises viewers with its unexpected yet impressive detours on its plot.
Though Beth and Dawn died on the midseason finale, "The Walking Dead" season 5's comeback next year will be highly-anticipated with more adrenaline rush-filled suspense, genuine emotion and just the right level of violence. Plus, the return of the much-missed character, Morgan, will definitely rock the season on February.
