Director Sam Mendes announced in a press conference that the new James Bond movie "Spectre" will hit theatres on Nov. 6, 2015, Huffington Post reported.
On Thursday, Mendes with the new cast appeared on a press conference at Pinewood Studios in England to reveal the official teaser and some details about the 24th James Bond film.
The director commented that fans are probably familiar with the film title. "Those of you have some knowledge of the Bond franchise and the legend of Bond will probably have some idea of what that refers to, but I couldn't possibly comment," Mendes said.
SPECTRE stands for "Special Executive for Counter-intelligence, Terrorism, Revenge and Extortion." In the Bonds franchise, Spectre is a global terrorist organization with villain Ernst Blofeld as the leader.
The film's official synopsis reads: "A cryptic message from Bond's past sends him on a trail to uncover a sinister organisation. While M battles political forces to keep the secret service alive, Bond peels back the layers of deceit to reveal the terrible truth behind SPECTRE," C Net reported.
As with all Bond movies, the detective's car is one of the anticipated features of the film. Mendes revealed the Aston Martin DB10 is the official car of the sequel. The vehicle is currently under development and is limited to 10 models.
Fans are also looking forward for the new Bond girls to join the cast. Italian actress Monica Bellucci and French actress Lea Seydoux are the latest additions for the coveted part. Daniel Craig returns as James Bond and Christopher Waltz plays a lead character, according to The Sydney Morning Herald.
Meanwhile, 2012 James Bond movie "Skyfall earned over $1 billion in international box office sales. Film editor Charles Gant discussed about the pressure for the sequel.
"There's always a lot of pressure to deliver when so much is at stake: not just the financial performance of the film, but also the reputation of the franchise," Gant said.
Finally, movie production would take place at Pinewood, Rome, Mexico City, Tangier and the Austrian alps.
