Roger Federer Will Be Better Than Ever in 2015; Swiss Maestro Wants More Slams

Tennis legend Pete Sampras has no doubt that Roger Federer will be playing stronger than ever, believing the Swiss Maestro is going to be a contender in every major tournament next season.
Sampras, who amassed 14 Grand Slam singles title, has no second thought that the Swiss will be a force to be reckoned with next season, despite playing way beyond 30s.
"He has put up some huge numbers there in a career that has been so phenomenal. And this year he added the Davis Cup. He is 33 and he is getting stronger day by day." Sampras said in a recent interview. "In the near future I don't see Federer slowing down. As a player it is pure pleasure watching him."
After a nightmarish 2013 campaign, Federer bounced back in a big way as he racked up five championships and reached his first Grand Slam finals appearance in two years at the 2014 Wimbledon Open. He also came close to regaining the no.1 spot on the ATP world ranking, but Novak Djokovic made a late rally to stay on top of the ladder at the end of the year.
The Maestro capped his remarkable campaign on a big way by helping Switzerland beat France in the final of the 2014 Davis Cup title. The victory ended Federer's search for his first Davis Cup title, which is considered by many pundits as the only missing hardware in the Swiss' legendary trophy haul.
But despite his accomplishments, the hunger for more glory has never abandoned the 17-time Grand Slam winner.
"This year I was close. Novak played well at Wimbledon, Cilic was on fire at US open, French Open is always more difficult than the others. I really created opportunities," Federer said of his Grand Slam chance via Tennis Tonic.
People are always going to talk me down that 'he is old and not so fit anymore say' but I feel I have never cramped on court, I am one of the fittest guys on the tour. I back myself," said Federer, who is scheduled to kick off his 2015 campaign in Brisbane International.
