Heidi Klum's sexy ad campaign was banned in Las Vegas airport, Daily Mail reported.
Heidi Klum's naked posters for Sharper Image electronics promotion were banned in Las Vegas. The said holiday campaign was declared as "too sexy" for public display.
The campaign was a hit in New York and Los Angeles but McCarren International Airport in Clark County, Las Vegas declared that it violated their imagery codes. The airport's spokesperson said that the pictures were a violation to their rule about campaigns showing women's breasts.
The Las Vegas rule states that any images "showing of the female breast with less than a fully opaque covering or any portion thereof below the nipple" are banned in public places.
Although Las Vegas banned the campaign, Sharper Images expressed their side that the picture is "tasteful" and "beautiful." The company's marketing officer Dari Marder talked about the incident, according to Mirror UK.
"We are shocked that the Sharper Image ads featuring Heidi Klum have been banned in Las Vegas-- of all places. We believe the campaign is tasteful, beautiful and while sexy not inappropriate, in any way. The reaction to it has been fabulous to date and it is running in all forms of media without any issue," Marder said.
Klum is featured in a series of ads, wherein phrases such as "What Makes Heidi Klum Busy in the Shower?" and "What Makes Heidi Klum Work Up A Sweat?" are written across the posters. A scantily clad Klum is posing in the ads along with Sharper Images products such as shower speaker and tower charger.
The model has expressed her enthusiasm in posing for sexy shoots, US Weekly reported.
"[I feel sexiest] when I'm shooting, to be honest-the less I have on. Many people maybe are the opposite, like maybe they [prefer to be] more dressed. But the less clothes I have on, the easier it is for me to shoot, and the sexier I feel," Klum said.
Despite the controversy, Klum is busy with her modeling career. The blonde beauty is currently shooting "Germany's Next Top Model."
