"Fifty Shades of Grey" poster banned in a town in England, Cinema Blend reported.

A "Fifty Shades of Grey" promotional poster was removed from the wall of a Welwynn Garden City cinema in England. The controversial poster featured Anastasia Steele played by Dakota Johnson lying in bed with a blindfold. The seemingly naked woman had her head tilted and her mouth slightly opened.

A spokesperson from the Garden City cinema addressed the issue, according to Welwnyn Hatfield Times

"We are very sorry if we caused any offence to anyone. The film is set to be a huge blockbuster and is already selling well with us, even though it doesn't open until Valentine's Day 2015. The poster reflects the erotic nature of the film and was not explicit, but we understand if some people have taken offence," the representative said.

The removed poster was clearly taken from a love scene in the "Fifty Shades of Grey" trailer.  The image may be offensive to others but fans of the book trilogy expect this kind of theme for the film. The book has been branded as "practically pornographic," which means that the poster is just a subtle preview of what movie goers can expect.

Even James Dornan who portrays as the dominant Christian Grey in the film had to visit sex dungeons to prepare for the role. The actor shared his journey in being the lead role for "Fifty Shaded of Grey."

"I went there, they offered me a beer, and they did...whatever they were into. I saw a dominant with one of his two submissives, and he became our kink adviser on the film... I was like: 'Come on guys I know I'm not paying for this but I am expecting a show'.

"It was an interesting evening. Then going back to my wife and newborn baby afterwards... I had a long shower before touching either of them," Dornan said.

The sexually charged film will have its premiere on February 11 at the Berlin Film Festival. Novel author EL James, director Sam Taylor-Johnson and the lead stars, Fanning and Dornan will grace the event.

"Fifty Shades of Grey" will open in theatres on Feb. 13, 2015.
