Passenger Kicked Off Merry Christmas - A man was kicked off a plane on Tuesday after getting into an altercation with American Airlines staff because they wished him a Merry Christmas.

Reports indicate that the man, whose identity has not been disclosed, was traveling alone aboard American Airlines Flight 1140 from LaGuardia Airport to Dallas. 

The passenger took offense after a gate agent checking board passes wished him a Merry Christmas. The passenger reportedly replied saying "You shouldn't say that because not everyone celebrates Christmas."

According to reports, the gate agent, who had greeted every traveler the same way, then asked the passenger "Well, what should I say then?."

"Don't say Merry Christmas!", he replied and hurriedly walk past her.

Reports indicate that when the passenger got aboard the Boeing 737, he was also greeted by a flight attendant who in the spirit of the season wished him a Merry Christmas.

"Don't say Merry Christmas!"  he barked at the airline staff before hurling insults at the all the pilots and flight crew.

American Airlines reportedly management tried to calm the passenger down. However, the man would not stop, he was out to exorcise the spirit of Christmas so they threw him off the plane.

As he was being escorted off the plane, other passengers, who where obviously in the festive mood, clapped and cheered.

Reports indicate that due to the incident, the flight departed about 40 minutes later than planned. They merry passengers reportedly arrived in Dallas around 9pm central time.

The news of the passenger kicked off the plane because of Merry Christmas greetings has since gone viral on the Internet. It is unclear why the unidentified passenger was displeased with the Christmas greetings he received.
