Amber Alert Houston - A state-wide Amber Alert for a missing 14-month-old baby has been cancelled just hours from when it was issued on Tuesday after the baby was found in nearby Arkansas.
Police investigator Paul Vela told the press that Tymetheus Pack was found during a traffic stop in Prescott, Arkansas. Police say he was in a car with two other children, a woman and his father, 40-year-old Tumetheus Levastavian Pack, who had reportedly died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
The circumstances that led to his death are immediately unclear. It is also unclear if Tymetheus is in anyway related to the two children and woman that he was found with.
Police issued an Amber Alert for the 14-month-old after the body of his mother 26-year-old Angel Jackson was found in her northwest side apartment. Vela said there were signs of trauma to her head.
According to the Texas Center for the Missing, Jackson was last seen on Christmas eve. She had reportedly communicated with a coworker at Dollar Tree via text message that she had been shot.
Pack was listed as a person of interest in her murder. Police had suspected that Tymetheus was in his custody and mounted a statewide search for him. Police had released a description of Pack and his car just hours before he was found dead.
Reports indicate that Pack and Jackson have been having problems. Neighbors told the cops that Pack had been staying over for the past few days. They further claim to have heard an argument shortly before it went dead silent on Christmas day. It is unclear how long the couple had been together.
Tymetheus has been placed in the custody of Child Protective Services. Reports indicate that Jackson had another son, who was reportedly scheduled to stay with his father for the Christmas.
The police have not revealed the identities or any information about the woman and two children found with little Tymetheus.
