Kate Middleton is celebrating her 33rd birthday on Jan. 9, Friday. According to Hello! Magazine, the Duchess of Cambridge will be surrounded by her family, 32-year-old husband Prince William and 17-month-old son Prince George as she celebrates another milestone with a simple royal fête.

Although it's Kate Middleton's birthday, the pregnant duchess won't be seen out partying. Instead, she and her family will be relaxing at her newly renovated country haven, Anmer Hall, The Daily Mirror stated.  But before celebrating her birthday, the Duchess of Cambridge was reported to be under fire in the palace over alleged feuds with Queen Elizabeth II and Camilla Bowles-Parker, Celebrity Dirty Laundry and the International Business Times revealed.

In the meantime, as Kate Middleton celebrates her birthday, E! News reported that the duchess will be receiving a gift from animal rights group, PETA. According to the group's statement, they wanted to give the Duchess of Cambridge a present that is "equal parts chic and animal friendly."

PETA's special gift is a faux-wool, moto-style coat from Vaute Couture, a New York based vegan boutique.

"Fashion is about more than looking good-it's also a statement about who you are and what you stand for," PETA UK founder Ingrid E. Newkirk said as quoted by E! News. "By wearing her new vegan coat, the duchess will be setting a great example and sending British women the message that they can have top-notch style without hurting animals."

Kate Middleton's 33rd birthday celebration on Friday will be a small, low-key family celebration at her home just like last year. People learned the Duchess of Cambridge, who is pregnant with her second, is set to spend the day of her birthday privately. However, royal duchess' laid-back birthday bash is in contrast to her celebration two years ago where she marked her big day through a Cirque de Soleil show.

Meanwhile, after the duchess' birthday weekend fête, she will resume her royal duties. Next week, the Duchess of Cambridge will start prepping up for a string of engagements, which will marked her first public appearances for 2015.

As Kate Middleton celebrates her 33rd birthday, The Daily Mirror, The Telegraph and Ok! Magazine prepared 33 fun facts about the well-loved royal.
