Martina Mcbride - The first-ever Skyville Live is promising to be an exclusive blend of live music featuring Country's singer Martina McBride, legendary soul singer Gladys Knight and British pop R&B singer Estelle.
The new Skyville Live online music series will feature these great musical acts for the first monthly show, which would be performed in front of a live Nashville studio audience with exclusive broadcasts online.
The first show on Wednesday, Jan 14 at 8.p.m. ET has all the markings of a great show. Singers Martina McBride has been unable to suppress her excitement about sharing the stage with Gladys Knight.
"I'm excited to be part of the very first Skyville Live. I think it's a really cool thing for fans to be able to peek in from home and see a live show. I'm excited about singing with Estelle and Gladys," Country music ambassador Martina Mcbride said.
"I've been a Gladys Knight fan forever and am honored to even be on the same stage as her. It's going to be a great night!"
48-year-old Martina Mcbride, who recently signed a new record deal with Nash Icon Music, will begin her tour on Friday in Atlanta. The singer, who is reportedly set to release new music later in the year, says performing with Gladys Knight has been a dream she has nurtured for a longtime.
"In my wildest dreams, I never dreamed I'd be on stage with Gladys Knight, singing 'Midnight Train to Georgia," she said.
"I've been looking online recently to listen to her latest versions of 'Midnight Train to Georgia,' which hopefully we'll be all doing together, and she just still sings like no time has passed. It's just crazy how great she still is. She just signs her butt off. It's inspiring to me."
