Settlers of Catan - Over the past two months, the Green Bay Packers locker room has slowly transformed into a strategy discussion ground for a board game, which is quickly becoming the new past past-time of the players.

Packers tackle David Bakhtari, who introduced the game to the locker room, has reportedly been hosting Settlers of Catan game nights with other players almost every night since Nov. Reports indicate that more than ten players - a majority of whom are in the Packers offensive lineup - are avid players of Settlers of Catan.

Although starting center Corey Linsley told the Wall Street Journal that there was some hesitation among the players to join the game at first, this quickly disappeared. "We are completely addicted to it, we play it whenever we can," tight end Justin Perillo said.

In case you don't know about Settlers of Catan, this multiplayer board game, which was designed in Germany, basically works by players assuming the role of settlers in a mysterious place called Catan. Players of the Settlers of Catan are involved in commerce and state building. The amount resources each player has and the more settlements built determines the winner of the game. You need just 10 points to win a game of Settlers of Catan - players get points for building settlements. A virtual version of this interesting game just launched last year.

With the Cheesehead's Settlers of Catan obsessed offensive lineup set to square off against the Seahawks on Sunday, experts say the board game, which forces one to develop strategies, may just inspire the Packers to a victory.

Tom Clement's has noted that his boys are ready for the Seahawks - who are known to have the best defensive record in the league. "We're ready for whatever it is they do," he said.

Despite Clement's confidence in his team, many experts have pegged the Seahawks to come off with victory on Sunday.
