Seahawks Fans Leave Early - Sunday's NFC championship game was certainly filled with a lot of magical moments. Although the Seattle Seahawks were crowned winners, victory didn't look possible with about 5 minutes left and the Green Bay Packers leading by 12 points.
Seattle Seahawks fans are reputed for their 'die-hard' attitude. However, the '12th man' ditched the team when they needed them the most. Some Seahawks fans decided that the humiliation was too much and started to leave the Century Link Field early.
With two and half minutes left on the clock, the Seahawks and Russell Wilson would pulled off an unbelievable comeback to teach these fans the meaning of loyalty.
"Wilson and the Seahawks rallied in the game's final two and half minutes, with Wilson running for a one-year touchdown and Seattle then recovering an onside kick. And after Marshawn Lynch ran for a 24-yard touchdown and Wilson connected on a two-point conversion to put the 'Hawks up 22-19 with 1:25 remaining," Sports Illustrated reports.
At this point nobody needed to tell the Seahawks fans who left early that they had made a big mistake. Many wanted to return to their seats to at least catch a glimpse of their team's wild comeback. However, as per the rules practiced in every football stadium nationwide re-entry is not allowed - the prodigal supporters were forced to catch the action from bars when they could have seen it live.
"#Seahawks fans are bummed they left too early and can't get back in!," Jane McCarthy tweeted.
Although the Packers would tie the game and send it to overtime, the Seahawks were not to be denied a place in the Super Bowl.
The Seahawks won the game in overtime 28-22 after Wilson threw a 35-yard touchdown pass to Jermaine Kearse during the first extra time possession .
