Left Shark Lawyers Katy Perry - One of the most memorable things in the Super Bowl XLIX is no doubt Katy Perry's 'Left Shark,' who stole to the halftime show with his awkward and off beat steps.
The 'Left Shark's' performance subsequently went viral on social media where it has inspired hundreds of memes. A fan went a step further by 3-D printing and selling figurines of the 'Left Shark' on a website.
According to reports, Fernando Sosa of Orlando, who prints and sells 3-D figurines of politicians and other influential people, started selling the 'Left Shark' model via Shapeways.com for $24.99.
However, after finding out, Katy Perry's lawyers were not too pleased with the figurine idea, as the 30-year-old singer has not consented to it's sale.
On Wednesday, Shapeways.com was served with a cease-and-desist letter demanding that the 'Left Shark' product be removed from their site.
The letter also demanded that Sosa turn over any other shark products he may have in his possession.
"Your unauthorized display and sale of this product infringes our client's exclusive rights," the letter, which Sosa posted on Instagram, read.
Sosa also added that "It looks like dictators and world leaders like Putin and Kim Jong Un or Chris Christie are much easier to deal with."
"So I probably will go back to doing pieces about them and other world leaders. All this lawyer crap is very stressful."
In other news, the man who donned the 'Left Shark' costume, Scott Myrick, a professional dancer, said his performance was offbeat because he had visibility problems and had been involved in an accident before the show.
"The visibility was terrible. I ran into a palm tree but the camera missed it," he revealed.
