Marvel's "Agent Carter" has only a summarized season of only eight episodes. Though the series is quite short-lived, it surely delighted several Marvel fans as it expanded cinematic world to television by promising thoughtful introspection, thrilling action with some period drama charm.
But as Marvel's "Agent Carter" comes to a conclusion with just a couple of episodes left, we are giving you 5 reasons why you should be watching the series as the countdown for its finale begins.
1. Peggy Carter (Hayley Atwell) is on the run, Unreality Primetime reveals. (For video, click here.)
In the previous episodes, Marvel fans have been following Peggy as she fought her way through going on secret missions as she tries to help her friend Howard Stark (Dominic Cooper). But in the upcoming episode titled, "A Sin to Err," Peggy was declared a fugitive accused for treason and espionage.
2. Agent Daniel Sousa (Enver Gjokaj) is so close in discovering the truth about Peggy, Screenrant shares.
"Peggy discovers the shocking truth about Leviathan but doesn't realize that her true enemies are even closer than she imagined," the synopsis of the next Marvel's "Agent Carter" episode reads. "Meanwhile, Souza is close to confirming the truth about Peggy and may just put her in the crosshairs of the SSR."
3. As the manhunt for Howard Stark intensifies, Peggy Carter will put herself in danger because of her Strategic Scientific Reserve boss, Roger Dooley (Shea Whigham). According to MStarz, Dooley's second-guessing will become a major problem.
"The truth puts everybody in danger. Dooley's journey for the rest of the season is intrinsically tied to Dr. Ivchenko's arrival," executive producers Michele Fazekas and Tara Butters revealed in an Entertainment Weekly interview. "It's safe to say that we will find out a lot more about Dr. Ivchenko (Ralph Brown) in upcoming episodes. But if he's after anything, it's not the SSR."
4. Peggy Carter realizes her true enemies are even closer than she thought in Marvel's "Agent Carter" episode 7 titled, "Snafu."
"Peggy is cornered and more vulnerable than ever as Leviathan makes their move against her," the episode's synopsis reads. "As the SSR zeroes in on Howard Stark, they may pay the ultimate price as they find their true enemy is closer than they realized."
5. Howard Stark makes an unpredictable comeback in Marvel's "Agent Carter" finale episode with a title, "Valediction."
"Peggy faces the full fury of Leviathan, as Howard Stark makes his return in the explosive season finale," the synopsis of the last episode reads.
As Marvel's "Agent Carter" wraps up its storylines with the remaining three episodes, Marvel fans could expect some compelling scenes in terms of plot and character development. The series continues for three more Tuesdays (Feb. 10, 17 and 24) on ABC at 9 p.m.
