Ronda Rousey Instagram - Sports Illustrated swimsuit edition 2015 has continued to create some buzz. And after featuring plus-size models and highly-criticized Hannah Davis, the issue also features high-caliber sports personalities, UFC champ Ronda Rousey and tennis superstar Caroline Wozniacki.
According to Sports Illustrated, UFC women's bantamweight champ Ronda Rousey is the first MMA fighter to appear in its swimsuit issue. And to show off her remarkably sexy shots, Rousey shared a series of images in her Instagram account.
Rousey, the 28-year-old California native that holds a career of 10-0-0 MMA record with two knockouts, joined fellow athlete Caroline Wozniacki in the magazine's swimsuit spread. Aside from her notable UFC career, Ronda has also a blossoming career in film. After starring in "The Expendables 3" in 2014, Heavy.com revealed she will be featured in "Furious 7" and HBO's "Entourage" this 2015.
In a series of Instagram photos shared by Ronda Rousey, one in the 7 swimsuit shots showed the MMA fighter's super sexy physique in just a bikini bottom while lying on her stomach and sans a bikini top. In another shot, she wore a bandage type bathing suit, CBS Detroit revealed.
"I really liked this suit cause it looked like the black evil version of the Leeloo Dallas bandage suit in 5th element @si_swimsuit," Ronda Rousey captioned her Instagram post. While in another photo, she was stunningly photographed while smiling in which she wrote, "@si_swimsuit first shot of the day.... Can you tell its 6am and freezing?"
After sharing 7 Sports Illustrated shots on Instagram, Ronda Rousey then posted a video of herself training for her upcoming fight against Cat Zingano on Feb. 28, Hollywood Life reported.
Though it is quite rare to see Ronda Rousey in bikini or topless, her Sports Illustrated photo-shoot was not her first time. According to Yahoo! Sports, she already made her debut in ESPN's Body Issue in 2012, which she appeared fully nude.
In Ronda Rousey's interview with USA Today's For The Win, the UFC champ revealed that she had approached both experiences from completely different angles.
"The ESPN Body Issue is about celebrating the peak of human potential and the kind of form the human body, when specialized, can really look like," Rousey said, "The Swimsuit Issue has a lot more [of a] sexual side to it, while I don't think the Body Issue is overtly sexual whereas Sports Illustrated is."
