Twitter Firing Jet's Pizza - A Mansfield teenager has become famous after she got fired on Twitter for complaining about her new job.
The teenager, who simply identifies herself as Cella on social media, had gotten a job at a local Jet's Pizza outlet, but she obviously wasn't so enthused about it.
On Friday Feb. 6, Cella expressed her thoughts on her new job when she tweeted, "Ew I start this **** *** job tomorrow."
Clearly she didn't intend for the message to reach the head of the company Robert Waple - but somehow it did. On Saturday, Waple replied to Cella's tweet saying "no you don't start that FA job today! I just fired you! Good luck with your no money, no job life!"
The exchange between Cella and Waple quickly went viral and thousands of people have favorite-d and retweeted the tweets.
Waple later told the press that one of his employees saw Cella's tweet and informed him about it. He claims he would have called her on the phone to tell her that she has been fired, but he was apparently not in the office.
"Working register, taking phone orders, making subs/salads. Eating free pizza. How hard would that have been?" he asked.
On her part, Cella did not seem to be feeling any remorse over the fact that he lost a job before she even started it. "I got fired over Twitter," she wrote.
Since the incident, many people have tweeted to support Cella, explaining that she may have saved herself from being tied down with a bad job.
Jet's America, Inc told Fox News that the Mansfield Jet's Pizza location owned by Robert Waple is independently run by him under a franchise agreement. "Nevertheless, Jet's regrets to see the manner in which this situation has been handled by the parties involved," the statement said.
While people from all over the world continue to tweet and show support for Cella, Waple has deleted the content of his Twitter account, but not before tweeting "Made my point today. I'll check in again in 6 years."
