The Mentalist Finale - For about a decade since The Mentalist Season 1 Episode 1 premiered on CBS in Sept. 2008, millions of viewers across the world have eagerly followed the journey of Patrick Jane and Teresa Lisbon into the twisted minds of criminals and the even more perplexing world that they live.
On Wednesday, Feb. 18, the thrilling TV series came to an end with a 2-hour special broadcast.
The Mentalist Season 7 Episode 12 and Episode 13, which are titled 'Brown Shag Carpet' and 'White Orchids' respectively, takes us on an action-packed quest with Jane and Lisbon to unravel the mind of one of their most deranged serial killers yet, known as Lazarus. The pair also tie the knot as they look towards life ahead.
Jane reverts to playing a psychic in the final episodes of The Mentalist, in order to trap the killer Lazarus, who is apparently fond of psychics.
He gets into his element with his psychic thing and it works like magic as the killer kidnaps him. Lazarus, the killer, is clearly troubled and desperately needs to resolve emotional ties with his dad that is forcing him to keep the old man's body long after he died.
Through his wit and cunningness, Jane is able to escape the grips of Lazarus and sets the killer's home ablaze just before he is rescued by Lisbon.
The show then focuses on Jane and Lisbon future as he pops the question. But their marriage is almost thwarted by Lazarus, who is bent on taking revenge on Jane for tricking him. But the FBI outsmarts the serial killer and uses Jane and Lisbon's wedding to arrest him.
The happy couple exchange vows and The Mentalist ends with the news that Lisbon is pregnant with Jane's child.
