Australian rap icon Iggy Azalea has abandoned the Internet, particularly social media site, Twitter. On Wednesday night, Azalea informed her over four million followers that she would be "taking some time away" after her photos during her recent vacation spread online, which sparked an online havoc.

According to The Daily Mail, the 24-year-old Australian rapper left Twitter because of the "negative and draining" criticisms she received. 4. "To become nasty because of the way I feel iam treated would be a disservice to my fans and I promise i will try to keep smiling."

5. "But I also want to let my fans know iam taking some time away from social media. I need to be happy and it is too negative and draining."

6. "The Internet is the ugliest reflection of man kind there is," her last tweet reads before Iggy Azalea signed off. But though she abandoned Twitter, The Huffington Post said she seems to be active on Instagram.

"How much hate do you guys have?!" Williams asked then added, "I want you all to leave her alone. I know who the haters are: my people. It seems like black people don't want this girl to win because she's white... You need to stop that hate and get a life, haters."
